N. Pauline (Baker) Kimble, 82 of Hopedale, Ohio passed unexpectedly into life eternal on October 15, 2012. She was born February 21, 1930 in Bloomingdale to the late Carl & Mary Moore Baker. She was the beloved wife for 59 years to Lloyd J. Kimble; extraordinary mother of Richard (Linda) Kimble of Hopedale; Paula Kimble and Lee Anne (Ed) Huffman of Wooster. Loving grandmother of JT (Laramie) Kimble of Uhrichsville, Jeff (Kate)Kimble of Lincoln, NE. and Cody Huffman of Wooster. Adoring Great grandmother of Kanin Harper-Ann Kimble. A dear sister to Doris (Glenn) Christy and Alice (Rex) Morgan of Hopedale, and Ruth Valkosky of Wintersville.

Pauline was a faithful member of the Hopedale Church of Christ where she served over 45 years as Sunday School Teacher, Choir member and director for 30 years. Pauline spent her entire life loving her music, she even got to perform on the stage at WWVA music hall. She touched many families lives, caring for them as she would her own.

Pauline was very active in her children’s activities as they were growing up. She was her grandsons number one fan, at school, sporting or Tae Kwon Do events. She was very involved in her community. She was on the original board of the H-C Community Center and was instrumental in helping to get the center built to serve the youth of Harrison County. She was the secretary of the Harrison County Airport Authority for 26 years. Pauline & Lloyd were charter members of the National Campers and Hikers Association Land of Lakes Chapter of Cadiz. She held many offices for the club. They loved to camp in their travel trailer and toured most of the United States with their children each summer, until their retirement in 1991.

She started her career as the secretary at Hopedale High School after her graduation from there in the class of 1948 and would hold that job for five years. She took time off to raise her children and be involved in their activities. Pauline returned to work in 1971 as the Assistant Treasurer of the Harrison Hills City School District. She retired in 1991 after serving for 20 years. Pauline and Lloyd were able to retire and enjoy time in their winter home in Ellenton, Florida. She served as the “Sunshine Lady” for the Ellenton Gardens Trailer Park and coordinate the annual Ohio Reunion.

Pauline loved her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her community.

Friends may call at the Hopedale Church of Christ at 329 High Street on Friday Oct. 19, 2012 from 4 until 8 pm. and on Saturday from 11 AM until memorial service time at 1 PM. Pastor Dean Blythe will officiate. Arrangements are in care of Blackburn Funeral Home at 324 High Street in Hopedale, Ohio. Blackburn Funeral Homes 740-937-2461
